Write for us
We welcome pitches that make silver easier to understand: its material qualities, object forms, craft traditions, history or considered care. Bring a precise question and a reader in mind.
What we welcome
Proposals may explain a material or technique, compare forms of silver objects, explore a well-defined historical subject, or offer a careful account of everyday handling and storage. We favour evergreen ideas with a clear point, useful distinctions and no need for unsupported claims.
A strong pitch
Tell us the working subject, the central idea, why it suits Silver News Bulletin and what a reader will understand by the end. Mention the kinds of sources or experience that could support the piece, and disclose any relevant commercial interest. Do not send unpublished work that depends on claims you cannot substantiate.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; we will consider its fit, clarity and support before deciding whether to take it further.
Objects reward a closer look
Silver is more than a bright surface. Its material, making and history can tell us how people have used and valued the things they keep.
